-The new total increases the affected Toyota, Scion, and Lexus models from 3,113,000 to 4,697,000. Several new models that were not previously recalled are now included, all for the passenger-side front airbag: The 2006–2011 Yaris and Lexus IS; 2007–2011 Lexus ES; 2008–2011 Scion xB; 2009–2011 Corolla and Matrix; 2010–2011 4Runner and Lexus GX; and the 2011 Sienna. Dealers will replace the airbag inflator at a later date—possibly not for many more months—depending on the state in which the car resides and parts availability. So far, Mercedes-Benz is the only other automaker to specify models in the recall expansion. By our count, 26.4 million cars from 25 brands have been recalled for potentially defective Takata airbags.
